Run the post-install script after installation, or
Run /opt/vmware/bin/vmware-config.pl

This will configure vmware and setup appropiate kernel modules.

*** 2.6.x Linux Kernel ***

If you are running a linux 2.6.x kernel please use
the provided pathces found in "vmware-any-any-update105.tar.gz".

Remove the /etc/vmware/not_configured after configuring vmware.
This file remains even after configuring it :)
