POST-INSTALL

If you come across crashes such as:

(transmission-gtk:19791): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: No GSettings schemas are installed on the system

This can be resolved by generating a glib-schema with the command :
$ glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/
