Currently, when updating the meta collection, if a single port update fails then
the mpup ports driver deletes the whole meta collection. This came as a shock when
I first noticed it. At present, I'm using the attached patch to prevent this behaviour.
I think this issue is only part of the problem, since personally I don't think it
makes no sense to delete even a port just because the update fails.
